Fern Yoshida

As a veteran public school educator, Fern has led and managed various state programs and initiatives within Hawaii’s Department of Education. Currently, Fern fosters the advancement of Hawaii’s Comprehensive Student Support System and social and emotional practices in its schools. Previously, she worked as the Standards Specialist, coordinating efforts to update and improve standards-based tools and resources. Fern’s experience further extends with the development and innovation of teacher evaluation systems. She is passionate about ensuring that all students feel connected to their school, are engaged, and motivated to learn.
